Winter Orientation Day offers you the chance to meet your fellow students and professors, get to know your College and learn about York University's amazing resources.
Winter Orientation Day will kick off with York International who will host all International Student Orientation. Starting at 10:00 AM you will:
- Learn more about what to expect as an international or exchange student
- Learn about UHIP and your Health Coverage
- Learn about Immigration Essentials
- Attend a Resource Fair where you can learn about getting a cell phone and how to set up your bank account
Following York International's first half of the day, all new incoming students beginning in Winter 2023 you'll be able to engage in your academic orientation and discover some essential York U services:
- Participate in an academic orientation tailored to your program
- Connect with your soon-to-be classmates
- Get advice from upper-year students from your program
- Academic Advising
- Learning Skills Services
- Health Education & Promotion
- Student Accessibility Services (SAS)
- Student Counselling & Development (SCD)
- And more!
Closing off Winter Orientation Day, all new students are invited to join a campus tour and enjoy our Hot Chocolate Social where you can explore and learn abut some of York University's student organnizations and how to get involved to finish off your exciting day!
